Reading about the death of loudness drummer munetaka higuchi made me think of another deceased musician, artur rubinstein.
I love his renditions of Chopin pieces.
Thanks to youtube, i watched this lesson he gave to a young pianist.
The young fellow had accuracy, speed, power, and the touch of a maestro in the making.
Yet, as the master told him, the accompanying notes in this section had to be played plainly, with just a hint of sombreness, without any additional emotional embellishment.
